Hi Diane,
I read recently about your district’s iDevice program and thought you’d want to know about the Motion Math suite of number sense games – the best math apps for iPad and iPod touch.
For back-to-school, we’ve just made our games (all aligned with Common Core Standards) available through Apple’s Volume Purchase Program, for 50% discounts:
• Motion Math: Hungry Fish Pro, a fun game for mastering mental addition and subtraction.
• Motion Math: Wings Pro, a flying adventure with six representations of multiplication.
• Motion Math: Zoom Pro, the world’s most interactive number line.
• Motion Math HD, the estimation game with five forms of fractions. A rigorous efficacy study – the first done on an iPad educational app – found the game improved test scores 15% and attitudes towards fractions by 10%.
Motion Math has won numerous awards and praise from educators: Margery Mayer, the President of Scholastic Education, has called Motion Math “the gold standard for mobile learning games,” and Joan Young, a 4th grade teacher at Trinity School in Menlo Park reported that “Kids request Motion Math’s apps more than any other math apps – they really love the interactive playful experiences.” Motion Math apps are essential for any elementary school and middle school iPad or iPod touch.
Please let us know if you’d like a free promo code to try these games or have any questions. I’m curious – how do you pick apps?
Best,
An
