It was a great day! I can't wait to visit some classrooms myself. I appreciate your in depth summary of the implementation kick off. I too am excited about our potential to create out own ePub textbooks. Very cool!

This is a great resource for affective education and social skills. My students have done a couple of the assignments and we are going to work on problem solving through comics. I love this!

I used this video with Book Club last year. Just to give them a "taste" for the book (Drive). I really enjoyed the text, and the questions in the video are about as powerful as The Four Agreements (and both texts have had an effect on me).

My first job was in a bookstore and it was like the best thong ever! I got discounts on books and could read and keep all the overstock I wanted. My mom remembers me taking books to bed to sleep with when I was little. I still like to read at night before I go to sleep. Thanks for the post ;)

I trust all had a great start to the year. We at LHS are off and running and realize the importance of meeting the call of the many challenges that are ahead. In the news: This week I read an interesting article in the LA Times titled "Who's Teaching our Kids". If you've loaded the app (LA Times) you may want to check it out; however, realize before going in, you have to have a tough skin to read it and think through with an open and objective mind (not for the faint of heart!). The public education arena is changing rapidly - light speed (186000 miles per sec) in Colorado. Are we ready for this - the challenges of recent legislative actions? Ready or not, we will adapt, overcome obstacles, and move forward - that's the way leaders lead. Good luck to all in this 2010 - 11 year and enjoy the ride! Frei
