We at LHS are off and running and realize the importance of meeting the call of the many challenges that are ahead. In the news: This week I read an interesting article in the LA Times titled "Who's Teaching our Kids". If you've loaded the app (LA Times) you may want to check it out; however, realize before going in, you have to have a tough skin to read it and think through with an open and objective mind (not for the faint of heart!). The public education arena is changing rapidly - light speed (186000 miles per sec) in Colorado. Are we ready for this - the challenges of recent legislative actions? Ready or not, we will adapt, overcome obstacles, and move forward - that's the way leaders lead. Good luck to all in this 2010 - 11 year and enjoy the ride!
